- promoting better understanding and relations between the peoples of Turkey and the United States of America,
- increasing, promoting, fostering friendship, raising the public knowledge level and understanding of the Turkish culture and history in the community,
- furthering the interests of the Turkish American community in Metropolitan Washington, DC and the United States;
- performing other activities which are charitable, educational and not for profit, in accordance with the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954;
- supporting and maintaining ties with other organizations of like goals, to include the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA).
